The Humor-Blogs.com Blog
The casual blog got dinged for its dull and hard-to-read template, but other than that our reviewers seemed to like it. | Category | Score | Points | | Content | 5.92 | 41/70 | | Writing | 6.25 | 3/5 | | Web Design | 4.25 | 2/5 | | Intangibles | 5.75 | 3/5 | | Read Regularly | 3.33 | 3/10 | | Frequency | 4 | 2/5 | | Total |

It was hard for me to get past the formatting of the site. The widths of the wrappers need to be changed so you don't have consecutive columns. I found the posts a little longer than they should have been and not carrying the funny all the way through, at least not for me. I found many of them to just be goofy meanderings about whatever, a couple of the posts didn't even connect within themselves and the humor just wasn't my type. I think it's supposed to be dry but I found it a little too dry. I'm one to talk about longer posts but funny is poignant, which it what I find lacking here. I think some html streamlining and a little more focus on the topic of the post itself would do the site some good.
As a rule, I generally avoid blogs with black templates that gripe about the DVD format wars. Also, I'm not sure how this is itended to be funny in any way shape or form.
It was pleasant to read, I guess. Not ever laugh out loud funny- more like you could honestly tell when he was trying to be funny. It makes you think he has a perfectly timed laugh track for when he re-reads his entries. He's trying pretty hard, but it's just not funny.
Some of the posts are quite funny but this is not the sort of blog I generally go for. But that is just one man's opinion and I wouldn't let that deter you from reading it as the writing is pretty damn good. But you also have that annoying-as-hell Blogger default template and I generally can't stand seeing blogs that haven't had the CSS tampered with to make them look more enticing.
It seems like the author is holding back on his humor. Don't be afraid to find out where the funny/offensive line is.
I really enjoyed reading this blog. It is simplistic, in a funny and refreshing sense. Does that make sense? Who cares...all I'm saying is that it made me laugh.
May be I will be back to read this from time to time. Except the width of the column holding the posts, I don't see much wrong in here.
Amusing. Not funny enough to bookmark, but better than some other "humor blogs." Of course, you can't please everybody, but I'm thinking maybe you should do something about the template, John Q. -- if that is your real name.
Wow, things have been crazy lately. G is dealing with some personal issues, so you're going to have to settle for me. Mark Rayner's blog, The Squib, got a decent score from our reviewers. A few folks who really didn't like it dragged down the overall positive appraisal, and apparently the site was having some technical problems during the review period. Isn't that just the way? | Category | Score | Points | | Content | 5.67 | 40/70 | | Writing | 7.17 | 4/5 | | Web Design | 6 | 3/5 | | Intangibles | 5.5 | 3/5 | | Read Regularly | 3.33 | 3/10 | | Frequency | 8 | 4/5 | | Total |

The faux articles can be cheeky but one every once in a while would suffice. I liked the variety of humor that the blog had although I didn't find a lot of it all that haha-funny but smiling-funny. The layout was what I liked the best.
Great satirical content from The Skwib. This is one that I will definitely be adding to my blogroll at some point.
At first I didn't "get" this blog, so I read further, and it just wasn't laugh out loud funny to me. Although I did enjoy the "Bitty" YouTube.
This blog is less interesting then watching butter melt. But hey, he's published so what the fuck do I know.
This guy has an imagination! There's some great fiction in here, although it is not always funny, but it is always interesting.
I would probably score it better if I was able to see more than one of the supposed 1100+ posts. Hopefully the author will be able to get them back. But the one post I read, Jesussic Park, was hilarious (though I would imagine a lot of negative comments/hatred coming your way because of what looks like making fun of 'Jesus').
The white look of the blog with that header is nice and neat, though a little plain and personally, I am not too keen about just 2 columns in a blog.
I'm not sure if this guy has had a change of heart, or what, but I got nothing but a blank page and an alert that wordpress was not installed. I would have given all ones, but I can't knock his writing without having read it. Good job, Mark.
