The Frogster here, pitching in at the review blog. I am NOT a reviewer, I am merely a number cruncher. This week I crunched the numbers for Seven Seeds, a relative newcomer to the
humor-blogs family.

Percentile Rank: 67You'd think the reviewers were vampires at Miami Beach without sunglasses to read some of the quotes about the template:
The print on this blog is impossible to read against that green background. And the stripes on the side just add to the chaos. All in all, a very ugly layout.
I found her template, while attractive enough, to be moderately difficult to read. Too colorful? Not exactly... actually, it's pretty. Mostly I don't think the font color works well with the background. Definitely not as bad as the insidious white print on black combo so many are fond of, but still a bit..."squint-worthy".
I'm still holding back the nausea and the now raging headache I have from the atrocious background. Oh my freakin' god, I've never gotten motion sick from a website before. And I kid you not, My head is screaming. The wrap is just a shade too light for the font color and the background, I couldn't scroll slow enough to easy my queasy stomach. Thank god I bought some ginger pieces today. Now I just have to find some Tylenol and I'm good to go.
Remember, just because you'd find a particular color scheme attractive for a bathroom, that doesn't mean it's a good idea for a blog. I happen to know Kadi has switched her template up since the reviewers stopped by. As far as the content, our reviewers were all over the board:
I actually found this blog yesterday before being asked to review it and I found it hilarious.
Well written, humorous and interesting, just missing the X factor to bring me back daily.
I'll probably read it everyday.
The writing is well worth checking out and some of you may well enjoy these tales by a mommy blogger (I believe that is now the collective term for it) but sadly, it's not what would appeal to me.
A nice family blog. I can't come up with any specific complaints. Easy to read, and enjoyable for its day in the life style.
I've seen too many semi-funny blogs written by housefraus to be overly impressed with this one.
The parent-kid content was well done and earned a few honest grins.
Beat points to death. Walking on jokes makes them less funny. Her stories have good punch but they are overlong.
Obviously, identification is a big factor in digging a blog like this, and the reason that the reviews varied so widely. For you parental types, Seven Seeds will most likely be an enjoyable place to stop on the web. I think the only thing that could stop Kadi is if she gets tendonitis from her pedal-to-the-metal posting schedule. Well done, Kadi, and don't forget to stretch those wrists from time to time!

Note from Diesel: Thanks, Frogster, for a nicely done review. And thanks for helping me get out from under the backlog of reviews. The Frogster is being modest when he says that he's a just a "number cruncher," by the way. It's true that this review is a summary of our reviewers' opinions, but it takes some work to sift through the disparate comments and provide a meaningful review. So thanks again, and here's hoping I can rope you into being a regular contributor.
Oh, and make sure you check out the Frogster's blog,
The Frog Bog.
