Hi, everybody. Diesel here again. I know, I know, you like
G better. No surprise there.
Anyway, I'll just do what I need to do and let myself out. Today's review actually dates from several weeks ago. I didn't post it then because the blog's author took the blog offline for a while for some personal reasons. She's back now, and just as funny as ever. Most of our reviewers really liked
I Can't Believe He's Still Single. It's a simple concept -- posting excerpts from real personal ads -- but you can't beat pathetic desperation for pure comedy.

I think it would work better as a more in depth commentary on the profiles. For example, tear them apart line by line.
I love popping onto this blog from time to time when I want to feel good about who I married.
Darn funny. The author has clearly encountered more than her fair share of "toads" and is STILL retained her sense of humor (and, okay, her desire to find Mr. Right) for that, I salute her!
As a fellow One-Trick-Pony blogger, I really like it when a blog can stand on its own with one very narrow topic and do it well. This blog does it. Excellent.
Funny stuff! Altough it is sad that there are so many weird men out there that this blog has enough fodder to post regularly! But I'll be back, since I love to laugh at the pathetic.
Great site, straight down and dirty, just how I like it.
I like the premise and am actually amazed people write that crap in their personal ad. Wow.
I love this concept, and found it very amusing. I probably would have rated it higher except that author doesn't really do much writing of her own. Good stuff!
She doesn't have an archive list on the side to old posts that is easy to find. Hard to navigate beyond the first page.
The idea is fun, it's hard enough dealing with stupidity in real life. It's hard to score the writing since the desperate do his comedy for him.
Cool concept. I think reading this blog made me want to become a lesbian.
The design is slick and well coded but the content is like some prison-marriage of craigslist, match.com and MAD-TV.
I'm going to go apologize to my eyes.
I've read this blog before. Didn't put it in my bookmarks then, and didn't put it in my bookmarks now; yet, that's not an indication of quality. My problem with this site? It's the same problem I had with watching Sex and the City. For the first few episodes, it's relatable, and funny. And then it becomes OVERLY relatable and by extension, not-so-funny. I have no doubt that some (if not most) of those personal ads are genuine.
When the afterglow of my initial "ha-has" wore off, I found this site to be a sad commentary on the impossibility that faces the modern day mating rituals of humans (subtext: people are too rigid and willing to allow their superficialities to close themselves off to relationships).
Indeed, someone else's trash (these losers posting these highly improbable personal ads) is someone else's treasure (our temporary amusement).
Fabulous idea for a blog. It's got legs, too, because people will never stop making idiots out of themselves via personal ads. Great job!
These ads are just too long and not funny enough. I need to be spoon-fed a wee bit more.
There you go. If "real life personals fraught with schadenfreude" sounds like your thing, you can't go wrong with
I Can't Believe He's Still Single.
