Hi, my name's Diesel. I run this site. I started it as a lark, because all of the other humor blog directories
I found sucked. Anyway, my own humor blog is Mattress Police - Antisocial Commentary. It's listed over there
on the upper right. That's what's known in the biz as a "conflict of interest." Deal with it.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the post scoring work?
Posts are listed in order by their score. A posts score is the number of LOL smileys it has
received minus the number of grumpy smileys it has received.
How do the blog rankings work?
Blogs are listed in order by their score. A blog's score is determined by adding the scores
of all the posts from that blog from the past 30 days.
Note that we've stopped doing reviews as of March, 2008.
There are simply too many blogs joining Humor-Blogs.com for us ever to get through
them all. We are working on a blog ranking process that doesn't rely on review
scores.
How do I get my posts included in the aggregated feed on the Humor-Blogs.com home page?
First, your blog must be listed on Humor-blogs com. Second,
you must include a link to humor-blogs.com somewhere in the body of your post.
Finally, you must have provided us with the url to your blog's rss feed. Enter your
feed url in the RSS Feed Url box in your blog settings.
What the &%$# is an 'RSS Feed Url'???
An RSS feed is a simplified version of your blog that is designed to be read by
feed readers or other automated processes. Most blog platforms automatically
publish an RSS feed along with your blog. The standard Blogspot feed url is
YourBlogName.blogspot.com/rss.xml. The standard
Wordpress feed url is YourBlogName.Wordpress.com/feed/.
My blog is listed on Humor-blogs.com and I linked to Humor-blogs.com in my post,
but my post still isn't showing up. What am I doing wrong?
You can force Humor-Blogs.com to look for your post by clicking on the link from the post
to Humor-Blogs.com. If it doesn't show up, try the following:
First, make sure that you've provided us with your rss feed url.
Go to your blog settings (go to your User Profile and
then click the edit link for the blog) and make sure that the Blog Feed Url field
is filled in.
Second, make sure that your feed url is valid and that it does not truncate
your posts. You should be able to copy and paste the feed url
into your browser and view the xml code for your blog. Make sure that you
can see the Humor-blogs.com link in the post you are trying to include. If
your posts are cut off after a few lines, Humor-blogs.com won't be able to see the
link and will not include them in the page feed.
Third, make sure you you remembered to include the humor-blogs.com link when
you publish the post. The post may not show up if you added the
humor-blogs.com link after initially posting it.
If you've verified all of these things and your post still isn't showing up, please
contact us and provide as much information as possible
(post title, blog url, posting date, etc.)
Do I have to put any special code in my links to Humor-blogs.com so that users can
rate my posts?
Well, you don't have to. All you really have to do is add a link to 'http://humor-blogs.com' to your post. Users who click
on the link will be taken to a page displaying posts from your site.
Humor-blogs.com does its best to determine which post the user came from. If the
url of the page is different from the url of the post,
however (for example, if
the user clicks on a link from your home page), it
is unable to do this, and will just display a list of recent posts from your site. To help
Humor-blogs.com find the exact post, you should format your link like this:
...where POST_URL is the permanent link to the post. For example, in classic Blogger,
add this to your template:
How do I make one of those nifty banners for my website?
You can use any image editor to make a banner. The banner needs to be 160x40 pixels, and
stored in jpg, png or gif format. A program like Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, or even MS Paint
can be used to create a banner. Or try one of these free image editors.
How do I get my banner to show up on Humor-Blogs.com?
First, you need to upload your banner to a location on the web somewhere. Many people store their
images at an image hosting service like Photobucket or Imageshack. Once you have uploaded your banner
file, copy the url (address) of the file. If you aren't sure if you have the right url, paste it into
your browser's address bar. If the url is correct, the banner should appear in your browser.
Once you are certain you have the correct url, log into Humor-Blogs.com and edit your site settings. Paste the url into the banner url textbox.
